Description
Hotel Bass, which was operated under that title from 1946 to 1965. The hotel was owned by Walter C. Bass (1900-1973) and his wife, Ethel Bass. Located at 217 South Orange Avenue in Downtown Orlando, Florida, the building itself was built in 1907 and functioned as a hotel. The hotel has changed hands multiple times throughout its existence. Upon Bass' death his wife sold the hotel to Conway Kittredge for $52,000 and it was remodeled as an office space. This lot, as well as the rest of the block, was later replaced by the CNA Tower and Barnett Plaza.
