Frigidaire was an appliance company that started in Indiana in 1916. In 1928, Wolfe opened a Frigidaire store at 130 North Orange Avenue, which was previously Jefferson Court Arcade, in Downtown Orlando, Florida. Later, the store moved to 19 East Washington Street. Frigidaire was an appliance company that originally sold refrigerators. Wolfe's pitch to get people to buy his product was to tell prospective customers that they could either continue buying blocks of ice for their ice boxes, or buy a refrigerator, which keeps itself cold and will not get infested with bugs, thus being more sanitary. Later, Frigidaire also sold stoves, room air conditioners, and washing machines. In 1959, the store moved to Garland Avenue, where the current Lynx bus station is located.
