<dcterms:description>A colorized postcard depicting a scene of a group of men and women approaching the casino in Veteran City, Florida. On the left, a streetcar is seen transporting travelers. The streetcar began running in the area in 1905, and in January of 1906, the Casino opened to accommodate passengers awaiting boats to Pass-a-Grille. The Casino quickly became a popular destination for locals and travelers alike. Veteran City was planned as a retirement community for Civil War veterans. It was incorporated as Gulfport in 1910.
