<em>The Maitland News</em> was a local newspaper originally published by the Maitland Realty Company (and later by The Maitland News Company) which began circulation in April 1926. <em>The Maitland News</em> was a local newspaper originally published by the Maitland Realty Company (and later by the Maitland News Company) which began circulation in April 1926. This edition features articles on topics such as the formation of a local home builder's association, Presbyterian and Methodist church services, a speech by Orlando Chamber of Commerce Secretary Karl Lehman, an oyster dinner fundraiser, the Winter Park Glee Club on WDBO radio, a card party held at a new gun club, the extension of the town water system, freeze protection for plants, school notes, the construction of a municipal tennis court, the housing arrangements of local residents, and a local events calendar. Also featured is a legal notice and several advertisements for houses for sale as well as for local businesses.
