Description
A drawing showing the Lunar Excursion Module (LEM), later called the Lunar Module (LM), returning from the lunar surface to rejoin the Command/Service Module (CSM). The LEM was the landing portion of the Apollo spacecraft. The CSM was a separate spacecraft used to ferry the LEM into lunar orbit. The LEM was used for six successful lunar landings between 1969 and 1972.
