First Unitarian Church of Orlando
Minutes of a monthly meeting of the Orlando Ministerial Association. The meeting was held on March 3, 1960, at the Y.M.C.A. in Orlando, Florida. The committee charged with looking into a possible merger had no report available on a possible amalgamation with the Orange Country Ministerial Association. Members unanimously concluded that they needed to register and urge their churchgoers to vote. Also discussed was the Sunday Closing Law, which mandated that all businesses had to close on Sunday. The Orlando Ministerial Association was against this because they saw it as a violation of constitutional rights. Non-violent lunch counter protests were also discussed.
