Description
<em>The Maitland News</em> was a local newspaper originally published by the Maitland Realty Company (and later by The Maitland News Company) which began circulation in April 1926. This edition features articles on topics such as a new town water pump, an anniversary party, tax assessment complaints, WDBO radio programming, the opening of school, locally-grown fresh fruit, a church dinner, the health concerns of a local pastor, the housing arrangements of local residents, and a local events calendar. Also featured are several advertisements for local businesses.

Description
<em>The Maitland Courier</em> was a local newspaper published independently by proprietor C. F. Townsend in the town of Lake Maitland, Florida (present-day Maitland). This edition from December 24, 1885, is a photocopied version and some sections are illegible. Featured in this issue are articles on the supposed end of sectional strife in the United States following the American Civil War, the construction of the Seminole Hotel and the Altamonte Hotel, deep-sea dredging, horse breeding, the type of settlers that Florida wished to attract, local happenings, and several advertisements for local businesses and consumer products.
