Mr. Doyle Golden submitted his report yesterday on the Lake Apopka fish which were forwarded to him for analysis.
Attached is a copy of the report which indicated the presence of three types of insecticides found in both the bream and bass. We discussed the possibility of his agency conducting additional tests, and he informed us that there is a possibility that he could handle a limited number of samples during the last week of October.
It is recommended that the next sample contain gizzard shad and catfish. In my opinion, the catfish sample should include some of the smaller fish which are in poor condition. It is also desirable that a sample be obtained from a commercial fisherman if possible. Keep this sample separate.
Eddie Cromwell is familiar with the Department of Agriculture procedure and the name of the gentleman to contact in Sanford. Their representative may wish to be present when the fish samples are taken. It is suggested that Eddie contact Mr. Burke Chester sometime during the first or second week in October to make final arrangements.
Sincerely,
Jerry
