Members of Lions Club and Children at Playgrounds Opening
The picture shows Sanford children and members of the Sanford Lions Club at the formal opening of the playgrounds held on July 1. The occasion was featured by the adding (?) of a field meet for the children, the affair being conducted under the direction of Mrs. Mary Clark (?), ___ of playground. The pictures shows one of the large pieces of equipment purchased with funds raised by ---- campaign last winter to finance two playgrounds in Sanford. The photo was taken at the playgrounds located between Magnolia and Park Avenues on Thirteenth Street.
