Work On Municipal
Zoo Speeded For
Early Completion

Work on the park at the north end of Park Avenue and the construction on the new Municipal Zoo, is progressing at a rapid rate and the planting of flowers and shrubs within the park is to begin in the near future in order that the entire project may be completed within 60 days according to a statement made today by City Manager W. H. Williams.
Several hundred tons of black muck earth are being hauled and dumped on the park and the grade is being completed under the ___ of engineers from the city. Park Superintendent Ernest Londonberg (?) is to have charge of its planting, which is to start immediately following the completion of the grade.
The building of the cages to house the animals is to start the latter part of the week and materials are being hauled to the location at the present time. Heavy cypress logs are to be used to construct the cages and wire for their exterer (?) has already been ordered. It’s planned to make _____ appear of plan wood construction throughout.
The arrangement for the zoo has been laid out by A. P. Haggard and the pathways between cages are to be decorated with shrubbery and flowers. T____ work ____is expected to be complete within 60 days.
