Sallie Harrison Chapter N.S.D.A.R. Honors Mrs. Brooke E. White Jr. The Sallie Harrison Chapter N.S.D.A.R. entertained most delightfully Thursday evening at a bridge party at the Sanford Yacht Club honoring Mrs. Brooke E. White, Jr., of Jacksonville, state regent of the D.A.R., who is visiting in this city as the guest of Mrs. John W. Meisch Jr. The chapter colors, blue and gold were featured in the decorations and other details. Bowls of calendulas and ferns were used artistically about the spacious club room where the card tables had been spread for play. The tallies were done in the chapter insignia and the pencils and other bridge accessories were also in blue and gold. Greeting the guests upon arrival were Mrs. William T. Fields, Mrs. John Leonardi, chapter regent, Mrs. Brooke E. White, Jr., Mrs. W. E. Watson, and Mrs. R. E. Tolar. Games of progressive bridge were played during the evening and proved most interesting. After the stated number of rounds had been played, scores were collected by Mrs. G. Irving Loucks, Mrs. W. Theodore Langley, Mrs. G. D. Bishop, and Mrs. George G. Herring. The first prize, a hand painted door stop went to Mrs. Calvin Teague, while E. D. Ball who held highest score among the men was given a silk scarf. The cut prize for the ladies, a set of flower markers was won by Miss Perrie Lee Bell. Calvin Teague who held the lucky card among the men was given a stocking set. Mrs. White was presented two framed silhouettes of Martha and George Washington. Refreshments of a tasty salad course with coffee were served at the conclusion of the games by Mrs. Bart Peterson, Mrs. David Caldwell, Mrs. Lloyd Boyle, Mrs. George Davis Hart, Mrs. W. J. Thigpen, Mrs. Frank Scruggs, Mrs. K. S. Dutton and Miss Tillye [?] Benjamin. There were 20 tables of players enjoying this unusually delightfully social affair
