Negro Church To Lay
Cornerstone Sunday
Members of the congregation of the St. James A. M. E. Church, Ninth Street and Cypress Avenue, are making plans for the laying of the cornerstone of the new church on Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock, according to an announcement today by J. A. Williams, pastor.
The ceremonies will be in charge of Evergreen lodge number 23,
F. & A. M. and will be assisted by other Masonic groups, Odd Fellows and Knights of Pythias. The public is cordially invited to attend.
