Essay Contest For Seniors Is Opened By D.A.R. Members Members of the senior class of the Seminole High School will soon compete for an award of $15 offered by the Sallie Harrison Chapter of the Daughters of American Revolution, for the best essay written on patriotism, war and peace according to an announcement today. Plans for the contest were outlined to the students this week by a group of members including Mrs. A. M. DeForrest, chairman, Mrs. J. N. Whitner, Mrs. A. T. Rossiter and Mrs. John Leonardi. Purpose of the contest is to promote more interest in patriotic education. The essays must be completed and handed [?] to the committee by March 1, it was stated.
