D. A. R. TO HAVE PICNIC
On Tuesday, the Sallie Harrison Chapter N. S. D. A. R. will be hostess to the neighboring Chapters of the D. A. R. at a picnic at the grove of old Fort Reed at 12:30 o’clock. The following program has been arranged by the committee, Mrs. J. N. Whitner, Mrs. G. Irvine Loucks, Mrs. Anna M. DeForest and Mrs. A. T. Rossiter; Invocation, Mrs. J. N. Whitner; Salute to the Flag, by the chapter; song, “America,” by the assembly, led by Mrs. Julius Takach; Greeting from the regent of Sallie Harrison Chapter, Mrs. John Leonardi to the visiting chapter; Response, Mrs. B. E. Brown of DeLand; Vocal solo, “Recessional,” by Mrs. Julius Takach; Introduction of State Officers; “History of Fort Reed and surrounding vicinities,” by Mrs. J. N. Whitner; Sing, “God Be With You Till We Meet Again,” by assembly.
