D.A.R. Holds Meeting With Mrs. Dighton
The Sallie Harrison Chapter, N. S. D. A. R. held its first regular meeting of the season on Oct. 12 at the home of Mrs. S. R. Dighton. The program of various patriot- ic and educational work was out- lined for the year and it was de- cided to invite the public to hear Dr. Lincoln Harry and Judge Amos at the next D.A.R. meeting on Nov. 9th at the Women’s Club. At the close of the meeting the hostess, Mrs. S. R. Dighton, as- sisted by Mrs. Thigpen, Mrs. R. L. Dean and Mrs. Bart Peterson served delicious refreshments. The lovely home of Mrs. Dighton was opened en suite and was very attractively decorated with bowls of pink roses. Those enjoying the occasion were Mrs. A. T. Rossiter, Mrs. H. H. Pattishall, Mrs. W. M. Thigpen, Mrs. S. Puleston, Mrs. David Caldwell, Mrs. J. N. Whitner, Mrs. A. M. DeForest, Mrs. K. __ Dut__n, Mrs. W. T. Field, Mrs. R. H. Berg, Mrs. F. M. Davidson, Mrs. W. E. Watson, Mrs. Geo. Herring, Mrs. R. E. Tolar, Mrs. R. L. Dean, and Mrs. John Leonardy.
