Death of M. Rotundo
Mike Rotundo died at his home on East Second street last Friday after an illness of several months.
Mr. Rotundo was taken ill during the street fair here in March and fell unconscious upon the ground and had to be taken to his home. Since that time he has never really rallied from the attack and his death has been expected for some time. Mike Rotundo has been a resident of Sanford for many years and during that time engaged in the fruit and cigar business and also in farming. He came to this country from Italy while a boy and after- ward moved to this city. He was a good business man and was very successful in many of his ventures and had the respect and esteem of all who knew him.
The funeral services occurred from the Catholic church last Saturday, Rev. O’Riordan officiating and interment was made in Lakeview cemetery. Deceased leaves a wife and several children to mourn his loss.
