LOCAL CHURCHES TO JOIN JEWS IN OPENING TEMPLE
A. Raffeld Will Be Master
Of Ceremonies And Rabbi
Kaplin Will Be Principal
Speaker On The Program
The program for the dedication services of the Beth Israel Temple was announced this morning by Al Raffeld, who is to be master of ceremonies. It includes an address by Rabbi Kaplan, of Jacksonville, talks by Sanford clergyman, Frank P. Forster, Mayor Forrest Lake, Perry Weinberg and A. H. Moses. One of the largest crowds ever to attend an affair of its kind is expected tonight at 8 o’clock and the committee in charge of the arrangements is busy today in an effort to provide adequate seating facilities. The decorations are in charge of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the congregation and are to be completed this afternoon.
The dedication address by Rabbi Kaplan is to follow the presentation of a key to A. H. Moses, whose philanthropy enabled the congregation to build and properly equip the new temple, which stands at the corner of Sixteenth Street and Magnolia. A response by Mr. Moses is to follow.
Following is the program:
Audience joins in singing of America.
Remain standing until invocation by Rabbi Kaplan.
Address of Welcome – Pres., P. Weinberg.
Response – Hon. Forrest Lake, Mayor.
Address – Hon. Frank P. Forster
Presentation of Key to Mr. A. H. Moses.
Response by Mr. Moses.
Short talks by Clergymen of the Churches.
Dedication Address – Rabbi Kaplan.
