A list of US Army servicemen who were reported killed or missing during World War II. This page shows servicemen from Alachua County, Baker County, Bay County, Bradford County, and Brevard County. A notable individual in this document is Private Van Buren Porcher, who was a United States army soldier during World War II. Born in and enlisting from Alachua County, Florida, Porcher was assigned to the 448th Quartermaster Truck company on May 28, 1943. After over a year of service, Porcher died on September, 2, 1944. He is currently buried at the Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial in Dinozé, France. Porcher is one of 85 Florida residents interned at Epinal.
