Formal Dedication Of Jewish Temple To Be On Thursday
Formal dedication services for the Jewish Temple, now being erected at the corner of Sixteenth Street and Magnolia Avenue for the Beth Israel congregation, are to be held Thursday night at 8 o’clock, according to an announcement made today. Plans for making the event one of importance are now being carried out by committees in charge of the details.
The program is being arranged by All Raffeld and is to include a number of prominent speakers of both the Gentile and Jewish races. Every minister in Sanford is expected to have a place on the program and a number of prominent out of town speakers have also been invited.
The new temple will also be used as a Jewish Community House and various social functions other than church affairs are to be held there, it is said. It was erected during the past two months and is to be the first of its kind in Sanford.
