Orlando Chamber of Commerce
The Orlando Chamber of Commerce was first established as the Board of Trade in 1913 to promote the growth of Orlando. The organization has been involved in projects to expand the city limits and even played a role in creating the city's beloved NBA team, the Orlando Magic.
The Junior Chamber of Commerce, or the Jaycees, was established in 1927 as a young men's organization to aid the Senior Chamber in the communities advancement. They worked on projects such as creating the Orlando Municipal Airport, now known as the Orlando Executive Airport. The Jaycees used the 1926 Chamber building in 1967, when the Senior Chamber moved to a new location on Ivanhoe Boulevard.
