Dear Dr. Millican
With all of the special consideration that was give the Black Student Union in planning the upcoming BLACK AWARENESS WEEK, one thing is prevalent: Florida technological University can function effectively as a community—minded institution—in all areas, including academic and civic.
The cooperative spirit demonstrated by all levels of operation at the University and in the community, certainly, demonstrates the theme for that week, “Awareness and Understanding Through appreciation”.
We feel that, with your support and the assistance of administrators and Student Government, the BLACK AWARENESS WEEK will fulfill an educational and a civic need.
