Orlando Ministerial Association Minutes of Monthly Meeting

First Unitarian Church of Orlando

Minutes of a monthly meeting of the Orlando Ministerial Association. The meeting was held on January 7, 1960, at the Y.M.C.A. in Orlando, Florida. Harold E. Scott, chairman of the Citizens Committee for Good Government, began the meeting by speaking about the importance of citizens practicing their democratic rights and opportunities in the community. He especially focused on the importance of freedom of speech. Rabbi Shwartz reported on a possible merge with the Orange County Ministerial Association, announcing that they were co-sponsoring a luncheon with the Mental Health Association. A program committee was established and the meeting was adjourned.
