Description
Two black and white photographs of Jack Clifford Beall taken when he was around 28 years old. In the first photograph are two skulls from Stone Island, and a third found in the Sanford-DeBary area during the construction of Interstate-4. Larger items to the left are parts of weapons or tools. In front of the skulls are projectile points, most commonly used by earlier Native American tribes for hunting. A handwritten note on the back of the first photograph reads, "1958 Sanford Herald. "In the second photograph, Beall is holding part of the broken remains of a human hip and leg bone from an unknown excavation along with his other skull excavation in Stone Island. Excavation was a hobby and Beall did not officially record his findings. An official archaeological survey was conducted in DeBary in 1999, which included information from Jesse Beall, Jack's brother. .
