Orlando Ministerial Association Minutes of Monthly Meeting
First Unitarian Church of Orlando
Minutes of a monthly meeting of the Orlando Ministerial Association. The meeting was held on March 5, 1959, at the Y.M.C.A. in Orlando, Florida. Pat Pinkerton of the Orlando Sentinel was present to discuss an update on the newspaper's policy of rejecting news and advertisements from African-American churches. At the previous meeting, Pinkerton suggested that the ministers of those churches submit their news and advertisements early in the week and directly in care of her. She reported that two advertisements had been published since then. A panel discussion on "Religion in the Public Schools" was conducted. It was agreed that it would continue at the next meeting.
