A newspaper article from The Winter Garden Times describing remarks made by Dale Twachtmann to the Winter Garden Rotary Club. At the meeting, Twachtmann, an engineer, discussed the various sources of pollution entering Lake Apopka. Twachtmann also described future engineering efforts for Lake Apopka and the surrounding area, including plans to raise the water level of the lake by a foot, as well as the dikes surrounding the muck farms will be enlarged to six feet above the water line.
