First Cashier

A. B. Newton was the first Cashier of the First National Bank of Winter Garden, established in 1919 on the southwest corner of Plant and Boyd Streets. This was the previous location of A. B. Newton’s dry goods business, which, for unknown reasons, was moved to South Main Street. This building underwent a series of at least five substantial remodels and enlargements to become the present structure at 100 West Plant Street.
