Tourists Make Their Way to Mayfair

From 1934 to 1963, the once abandoned Hotel Forrest Lake became the Mayfair Hotel, and later the Mayfair Inn.  The Mayfair became a popular tourist destination as people from around the country traveled to Sanford to enjoy the tropical paradise, watch spring training baseball games, and to spot the occasional celebrity.
