The Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Orlando, located at 701 West South Street, in Downtown Orlando, Florida, 2003. This African-American congregation was organized in 1919 and originally met in various locations. When land was purchased for the construction of a church, congregants made rusticated concrete blocks to construct the walls of the building in the Gothic architectural style. The church was completed in 1921.
