Crystal Robson never visited Weeki Wachee Springs until the day she applied for the job as a mermaid. “I had never been. I didn’t really know anything about it.” The unique opportunities the position offered peaked her interest. “I always liked the underwater and the adventurous. I’m kind of an adventurous kind of person. And so when there was an ad in the paper, I decided to go ahead and apply.”
